Cricket is one of the most followed sports in the world. The latest and shortest format of cricket is T20 which came in international scene in 2005 with the match between England and New Zealand. Since then it has come a long way and there is a world cup tournament like ODI matches for this format too which is organized by ICC in every 2 year. Its following is getting wider and wider as it is completed within 3 hours having 20 over a side. Rules are same as ODI cricket and also the “Free Hit” for a no ball was originated from this format which is also used in ODI matches . Like in my earlier articles Top 10 ODI Run Scorers in World and Top 10 Test Run Scores in World we saw that the list was topped by the great Sachin Tendulkar in both format. Here we are looking at the list of top 10 batsmen who are leading run scorers in this T20 format. As this format is quite new, totally different and very fast so we are going to see the change in the to position of the list.

B McCullum, the explosive wicket-keeper batsman from New Zealand tops the list of top 10 run scorers in T20 with 1814 runs in 68 matches with the career strike rate of 135+. He is also the only player to score two hundreds in international T20. He also holds the record of scoring 2000 runs in the shortest cricket format apart from that he also holds the record of hitting maximum Sixes and Fours in T20 cricket in the world. He has terrific record in T20 and has variety of shots which are hugely effective in this format of the game.
All these records certainly proves that Brendon McCullum is best batsman in T20 format of the cricket. The way he is playing he is going to lead this top run scorers list for long time.
