Cricket fever is at all time high in Bangladesh as the T20 world cup is going on. The T20 cricket tournament started with 16 teams from qualifiers to the Super 10 has reached to the 3rd stage i.e., Semifinal. As, I declared in my earlier article T20 World Cup : Who Will Win?, India and West Indies as the favorites for the T20 world cup 2014 have managed to secure their place in the semi-finals. South Africa and Sri Lanka are the other two teams in the semi-finals apart from the India and West Indies.

Semi-Finals Schedule
April 3th, 2014 West Indies v/s Sri Lanka Dhaka, Bangladesh
April 4th, 2014 India v/s South Africa Dhaka, Bangladesh
Semi-Final 1 : West Indies v/s Sri Lanka
Defending champion West Indies have been in great form and they secured their place from a tough group by winning 3 matches while their opponent Sri Lanka have won all the matches of Super 10. West Indies and Sri Lanka have faced each other 5 times out of which Sri Lankla has won 4 times while 1 time West Indies.

West Indies - Batting form of Bravo & Sammy, Bowling form of Narnie and Badree.
Sri Lanka - Batting form of Jayawardene & Mathews, Bowling form of Herath & Malinga.
WEAKNESS :
West Indies - Inconsistent team performance.
Sri Lanka - They have problem of plenty.
Favorite to win : Sri Lanka is favorite to win as they are playing in the conditions which are very similar to their back home. But we have to remember that West Indies won the T20 world cup in 2012 in Sri Lanka itself so they can't be counted out. K Santokie can be the X-factor in the result of the match.
Semi-Final 2 : India v/s South Africa
India, 2007 winner won every match in Super 10 stage to secure their place in the Semi-final while their opposition South Africa won 3 matches out of 4 league matches to play in the final. South Africa is eyeing for their first chance to play for T20 world cup. South Africa and India have faced each other 7 times in T20 matches out of which India have won 5 times while 2 matches have been won by South Africa. In world cup they have played each other 4 times out of which 3 has been won by India and 1 by South Africa.

South Africa - Batting form of Duminy & Devilliers, bowling form of Steyn & Imran Tahir.
India - Batting form of Kohli & Rohit, Spin bowling form of Amit Mishra & Ashwin.
WEAKNESS:
South Africa : Poor record against Spin, Yet to play at Dhaka.
India : Poor opening batting form.
Favorite to win : If we look at the current record and also past stats India is clear favorite to play into the final. South Africa is yet to play at the Dhaka while India have played all the Super 10 matches at Dhaka so India has that advantage. Suresh Raina can be X-factor in the result of the match.
