IPL or Indian Premier League is a domestic cricketing bonanza from super rich cricket board in the world BCCI. IPL was started way back in 2008 after the extra-ordinary success of World T20 in 2007 which was won by team India. Sri Lanka pacer Lasith Malinga tops the list of highest wicket takers in IPL cricket tournament. Malinga played crucial role in the success of Mumbai Indians in Indian Premier League and helped Mumbai Indians to win the IPL 2013 title as well as Champions League title under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma for the first time. Lasith Malinga is only player to pick hundred wickets in IPL cricket with economy of 6.54. The slinging action and his control to ball Yorkers on the will has made him one of the most sought after bowler in Indian Premier League.
Highest Wicket Takers in T20 Cricket internationals like Saeed Ajmal and Umar Gul are missing from this list as there has been very low or no participation from the Pakistani cricketers due to the tiff between the India and Pakistan boards.
