IPL or Indian Premier League is domestic cricketing bonanza from super rich cricket board in the world BCCI. IPL was started way back in 2008 after the extra-ordinary success of  inaugural edition of the World T20 in 2007 which was won by Indian team. First edition of Indian Premier League had participating teams from 8 different franchisees namely they were Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Daredevils, Hyderabad Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers Bangalore. IPL is very popular domestic cricket tournament in the world which has huge involvement from reputed cricketer from foreign teams. Indian middle order batsman Suresh Raina tops the list of highest run scorers in Indian Premier League-IPL history. Suresh Raina has been the mainstay in the success of Chennai Super Kings along with the skipper MS Dhoni. Raina is also the only cricketer from Indian cricket to score century in World T20 as well as in IPL. He has 18 fifties in the 99 matches he has played in IPL which shows his success with the bat along with his consistency to score in shortest format of the cricket. Suresh Raina is followed by another Indian batsman Rohit Sharma followed by the explosive opening batsman Chris Gayle from the calypso nation West Indies.

The surprising fact is that Highest Run Scorer in T20 Cricket Brendon McCullum is not in the top 10 positions of highest run scorers in IPL of all time as he has not been as successful as he has been in international T20. But, McCullum is expected to get his name listed into this list of highest run scorer in IPL in near future.
